Petrol lawn mowers
Petrol lawn mowers are usually the best choice for any gardens other other than very small gardens. They are the preferred option because you do not need to worry about a fixed power source because you can top up the tank with fuel and mow for as long as you need to.
The rear roller lawn mowers are for lawns where you would like to have a classic striped effect. They are also very good if you have dropped flower beds around the edge of your lawn because the rear roller allows the mower to get right up to the edge of the lawn without scalping the lawn. Scalping is when the blade gets too close to the ground and removes too much of the blade of grass.
Four wheeled mowers are well suited to lawns where you might have an uneven surface or perhaps some lumps and bumps on the lawn or where you do not require stripes on your lawn. A standard four wheeled mower will offer either rear collect which is when the grass is collected in a bag at the rear of the machine or rear discharge where the grass is dropped behind the mower as it goes along.
Some four wheeled mowers offer an additional option to mulch the grass. A mulching mower or recycling mower finely mulches or chops the grass clippings up into tiny pieces which then get put back into the lawn. This feeds the lawn with nutrients and water.
Some of the Hayter petrol lawn mowers are available in a heavy duty “pro” variant which are designed for the heavy duty requirements of a professional contractor. The warranty for a professional model will cover the lawn mower for longer than a consumer model used for commercial use. The consumer range are all green and the pro range are silver.
